Así que el mes pasado, por cosas de la vida, tuve la oportunidad de quedarme en un Airbnb* de ensueño en Rincón para la celebración del primer VegFest Puerto Rico. Casita Fresca es una propiedad recién construida y cuidadosamente diseñada para promover un estilo de vida más ecológico impulsado por electricidad solar, un sistema para recoger la lluvia y un diseño de flujo de aire fresco en el techo que deliberadamente le da su nombre. Además, las puertas y ventanas están hechas de teca y metales reciclados. // Casita Fresca is a recently constructed property thoughtfully designed to promote a more eco-friendly lifestyle powered by solar electricity, a rain catchment system, and a fresh air flow design in the ceiling that purposely gives it its name. Additionally, the doors and windows are made from recycled teak and hardware.

Aunque llegué de noche, y no pude disfrutar de la vista hasta el próximo día, quedé enamorado de las fantásticas puertas corredizas de la entrada. La casa es pequeña pero está bien pensada, porque a pesar de su espacio limitado es cómoda. El diseño minimalista y rústico, junto a la gran afluencia de luz de las ventanas grandes que rodean la casa, ayudan a crear un espacio encantador y acogedor. // Although I arrived at night, and could not enjoy the view until the next day, I fell in love with the fantastic sliding doors at the entrance. The house is small but well thought out, because despite its limited space it is comfortable. The minimalist and rustic design, together with the great influx of light from the large windows that surround the house, help create a charming and cozy space.

Summer, la anfitriona, fue siempre bien accesible y servicial. Aún llegando tarde en la noche, contestó mis mensajes de confusión con paciencia y amabilidad, ya que como es recién construida no hay mucha rotulación y de noche es un poco difícil el encontrarla. Igualmente son tan atentos y considerados, que te proveen con una guía para el hogar y como navegar Rincón. Esto salvó mi viaje cuando no encontré Uber y pude conseguir un Taxi económico para llegar al evento. Además que el WiFi complementario y el sistema de bocinas Bluetooth no viene nada mal tampoco. // Summer, the host, was always approachable and helpful. Even arriving late at night, she answered my messages of confusion with patience and kindness, since as it is newly built there are not many signs and at night it is a bit difficult to find it. They are also so considerate and thoughtful, that they provide you with a guide for the home and how to navigate Rincón. This saved my trip when I did not find Uber and I was able to get a cheap taxi for the event. In addition, the complementary WiFi and the Bluetooth speaker system is not bad at all either.

Lamenté tanto el no poder estar más tiempo y poder sacarle provecho a la magnífica cocina que tiene, la cual viene equipada y lista para utilizar. La cocina incluye estufa de gas, además tiene ollas y utencilos, y la nevera que enfriaba al 100%. Pero, lo más que me gustó - en realidad en toda la casa - es el concepto de las puertas corredizas de madera reciclada en los gabinetes. Lo encontré súper práctico y moderno. // I regretted not being able to stay longer and being able to take advantage of the magnificent kitchen, which is equipped and ready to use. The kitchen includes a gas stove, also has pots and utensils, and the refrigerator that cools a 100%. But,what I liked the most - of actually the whole house - is the concept of the sliding doors made of recycled wood in the cabinets. I found it super practical and modern.

La sala definitivamente fue mi spot de comienzo a fin. Honestamente pensé que el spot iba a ser la hamaca, pero como llovió "on and off" el sábado, que fue el único día que estuve de lleno en Rincón, la sala se convirtió en mi aliada. Además de que por la excelente iluminación natural, pude grabar varios stories, así que otro punto para Casita Fresca. // The living room was definitely my spot from start to finish. I honestly thought that the place was going to be the hammock, but as it rained "on and off" on Saturday, which was the only day I was fully in Rincon, the living room became my ally. In addition to the excellent natural lighting, I was able to record several stories, so another point for Casita Fresca.

La casa tiene dos cuartos, pequeños pero cómodos. Perpetúan el estilo minimalista con solo un gavetero para la ropa y aunque de noche tienen luz, durante el día se promueve la luz y ventilación natural. // The house has two rooms, small but comfortable. It perpetuates the minimalist style with only a dresser and although at night they have light, during the day natural light and ventilation are encouraged.

El baño - ¡es completamente abierto! Si eres una persona de mucho pudor, definitivamente debes de saber como buscarle la vuelta o no quedarte aquí. Recuerda que siempre gana tu comodidad y paz mental. En mi caso, no prendía la luz de noche (sólo la de la sala) y de día utilizaba una bata o traje que cubriera. En realidad estás en el centro de la nada, pero hay propiedades y como están bastante lejos no es fácil determinar si tienen vista clara hacia el baño, así que mejor prevenir que lamentar. Honestamente, es un baño hermoso y una de los detalles favoritos de la propiedad. // The bathroom - it's completely open!
If you are a very modest person, you must definitely know how to make it work or simply not stay here. Remember, your comfort and peace of mind should always win. In my case, I did not turn on the light at night (only the one in the living room) and during the day I used a robe or dress that provided coverage. In reality you are in the middle of nowhere, but there are properties around and since they are quite far away it is not easy to determine if they have a clear view towards the bathroom, so it is better to prevent than to have to regret. Honestly, it's a beautiful bathroom and one of my favorite details about the property.

Verdaderamente sorprendida y emocionada con mi primera experiencia Airbnb.
