Nacho Libre: Lo Mejor de Dos Mundos en Rincón
No hay nada mejor que comer rico (¡y vegano!), sobre todo si va junto a un buen ambiente y buena compañía. Si piensas como yo, entonces te vas a enamorar también de un maravilloso "find" en Rincón llamado Nacho Libre. // There is nothing better than eating delicious food (and vegan!), especially if it goes along with a good atmosphere and good company. If you think like me, then you'll fall in love too with a wonderful find in Rincón called Nacho Libre.
Rincón, para mi sorpresa, es igual o más vegan-friendly que muchos establecimientos en el área metro. Probablemente se debe a la gran cantidad de flujo turístico y de extranjeros quienes simplemente han decidido llamar este rinconcito de Puerto Rico su hogar. ;) // Rincón, to my surprise, is equally or more vegan-friendly than many establishments in the metro area. Probably due to the large amount of tourist flow and foreigners who have simply decided to call this corner of Puerto Rico home. ;)
Descubrí a Nacho Libre en una de mis búsquedas de lugares que fueran vegan o vegan-friendly. Aunque no es el único que salió, fue el que teníamos cerca y dónde sabía podíamos comer y llenarnos - el desayuno de ese día nos había dejado con hambre y sólo porque no me enteré hasta que llegué aquí que vimos que incluían menú de desayuno. Aunque el mismo es bien limitado para veganos, provee unas cuantas opciones, además que son bien flexibles y amables y si hay algo que necesitas adaptar del menú de seguro con gusto lo hacen. // I discovered Nacho Libre in one of my searches for places that were vegan or vegan-friendly. Although it is not the only one that came out, it was the one we had nearby and where we knew we could eat and be full - breakfast that day had left us hungry and only because I didn't find out until I got there that we saw that they included a breakfast menu. Although it is very limited for vegans, it provides a few options, additionally they are very flexible and friendly and if there is something you need to adapt from the menu they will gladly do so.
Con el calor que ya había en abril, definitivamente empecé con una Margarita, seguido por uno de los guacamoles más ricos que he probado. Yo no sé ustedes, pero si tiene chips, guacamole y/o refrito, I'm definitely in! // With the weather beginning to heat up in April, I definitely started with a Margarita, followed by one of the most delicious guacamoles I've ever tasted. I don't know about you, but if it has chips, guacamole and/or refried beans, I'm definitely in!
Cuando llegó el momento de la verdad, opté por unas fajitas de vegetales salteados con habichuelas, acompañado por un complemento de arroz y otro de habichuelas negras. Can't get enough of those beans! Por demás decir que estaba todo mega delicioso. // When the moment of truth came, I opted for some sautéed vegetables fajitas with beans, accompanied by a side of rice and another of black beans. Can't get enough of those beans! Needless to say, it was all super delicious.

Volviendo al tema... Cuando visito lugares como este, que no es vegan pero si ofrece opciones, usualmente pido lo que tengan del menú disponible que sea vegano y ya sea lo complemento con sides (como en esta ocasión y en cualquiera que tenga mucha hambre) o simplemente "monto mi plato" con diferentes sides. // Getting back to the it ... When I visit places like this, which are not vegan but offer options, I usually ask what is available from the menu that is vegan and either complement it with sides (like in this occasion and whenever I'm really hungry) or simply I "make my own plate" with different sides.
Si su misión era solidificar mi amor por la comida mejicana, ¡lo lograron! Sinceramente tuve una experiencia a otro nivel en Nacho Libre - desde el servicio hasta la comida. ¿Saben que más me cautivó? ¡Son pet friendly! Mi corazón no necesita más. // If their mission was to solidify my love for Mexican food, they succeeded! Truthfully, I had a an experience on another level at Nacho Libre - from the service to the food. Do you know what else delighted me? They are pet friendly! My heart doesn't need anything else.
