Relaxing Birthday Celebration
El domingo fue mi cumpleaños #32. Nunca he sido de mucho fiesteo pero si me gusta tener un día relax y hacer algo fuera de la rutina si posible. Muchas veces mi cumpleaños cae en días que mi esposo tiene que trabajar así que este que al fin cayó domingo pudimos compartir todo el día. // Sunday was my 32nd birthday. I've never been much of a party-gal but if I can, I like having a day to relax and do something that beats the routine if possible. Many times my birthday falls on days that my husband has to work so this one finally fell on Sunday so we could spend all day together.
Como tengo 5000 trajes de baño y nunca me los pongo, pedí ir temprano a la playa y de una vez llevarnos a nuestras chicas peludas para que aprovecharan el paseo. Cada vez que lo hago me doy cuenta caa vez más que es unas de las cosas que más me gusta hacer en cuestión de compartir juntos (aunque ellas llenen todo de arena y hay que cambiarle el agua 100 veces LOL). En esta ocasión Guarito no pudo ir con nosotros pero para la próxima sí. <3 // Since I own like 5000 swimsuits and I never wear them, I requested to go to the beach early and take advantage of the outing to take along our hairy pup girls. Every time I do this, I realize more and more that it is one of the things I enjoy doing most when it comes to spending time together (even though they fill everything with sand and you have to change the water 100 times LOL). This time Guarito could not go with us but for the next time it's a given.
Luego de ese ratito playero dejamos a las chispas y nos encaminamos a un lugar que me tuvieron en secreto hasta que llegamos - Res al Fuego / La Lola. Nos sentamos del lado de La Lola (huyéndole al calor), pero te sirven de cualquiera de los dos lados. Comencé con un Mojito de Fres y Coco que estaba muy rico - lo cual es algo novedoso porque no me gustan los tragos dulces. Me gustó el sabor pero es muy grande para una persona sin que salgas en condiciones dudosas de allí - así que recomiendo compartir. En cuanto a la comida por un momento pensé que no iba a poder comer allí - ya no como carne - pero me fui por la ruta de build your own plate y pedí arroz blanco con habichuelas, papas fritas y mofongo. El sabor es divino - trust me - mi esposo es picky y hasta a él le encantó. Otra cosa que nos gustó mucho fue la pared que tienen con quotes de todos los temas posibles. We really enjoyed that - talk about food for thought! El servicio, ambiente y los precios de excelencia. // After that little time hanging out at the beach we left the little ones home and went to a place that was kept secret until we arrived - Res al Fuego / La Lola. We sat on the side of La Lola (fleeing the heat), but they serve you on either side. I started with a Strawberry & Coconut Mojito that was delish - which is something new because I do not like sweet drinks. I liked the taste but it is very large for one person without leaving in questionable conditions from the restaurant - so I recommend sharing. As for the food for a moment I thought I would not be able to eat there - no longer eating meat - but I went down the build-your-own-plate route and ordered white rice with beans, fries and mofongo. The taste was divine - trust me - my husband is picky and even he loved it. Another thing that we liked a lot was the wall they have with quotes of all possible topics. We really enjoyed that - talk about food for thought! The service, atmosphere and prices were excellet.
Como parte del paseo terminamos llegando a Arecibo. No sé si alguna vez de pequeña había ido, pero quedamos enamorados de la vista y del paseo a lo largo de la costa. <3 El spot era tan perfecto que tuve que aprovechar y hacer unos pics de mi comfortable & cute outfit. // As part of the outing we ended up in Arecibo. I do not remember if I had ever visited as a little girl, but we were in love with the view and the walk along the coast. <3 The spot was so perfect that I had to take advantage and make some pics of my comfortable & cute outfit.
Después de ahí paramos en los Outlets de Barceloneta y luego cerramos con broche de oro viendo Wonder Woman. Un día súper largo pero very well worth it. // After that we stopped at the Barceloneta Outlets and then as the cherry on top we went to see Wonder Woman. A very long day but very well worth it.
