Perfect Pair: LEOPARD + STRIPES
Until recently I wasn't a big fan of leopard prints, heck, of animal print in general! Maybe it was the force-fed overdose of it thanks to my Science teacher in elementary school or maybe it was the fact that few stores would carry items that looked classy and made you stand out for the right reasons. This all turned around when I found these super gorgeous leopard print and corduroy (yes, corduroy!) flats from Forever 21 that converted me to the leopard print side. Well, maybe not completely, I'm still sticking to accessories, but it did open my eyes to and helped me notice that it really isn't the enemy and it can actually be very kind to you if done correctly. Here enters Pinterest, in all it's awesomeness, and showed me they way to a perfect combination: leopard + stripes. This beautiful marriage brings two classic prints and combines them to make your outfit bold, edgy and modern without losing the classic of both prints. It might be a little daring for some, but one thing you learn in life regarding fashion is that you can't always play it too safe, you need to mix things up! Hasta hace poco no era muy fan del estampado de leopardo, bueno, de ningún estampado animal! Probablemente fue la sobredosis forzada de ellos gracias a mi maestra de ciencia en la escuela elemental o el hecho de que bien pocas tiendas ofrecían productos que se vieran con clase y que te hicieran resaltar por las razones correctas. Todo esto cambió cuando cuando encontré estas flats super hermosas en el estampado y en pana (si, pana!) de Forever 21 que me convirtieron al estampado de leopardo. Bueno, no del todo, por ahora me quedo con accesorios nada más, pero sí me abrió los ojos y me ayudó a entender que en realidad estos estampados no son el enemigo y si se pueden ser muy buenos contigo si se usan correctamente. Este hermoso matrimonio une dos estampados clásicos y logra que tu "outfit" sea atrevido, vanguardista y moderno sin perder lo clásico de ambos estampados.
