DIY: Paper Hydrangeas
Lllevo unos meses ya que deseo ponerle un poco de color y personalidad a mi escritorio en el trabajo. Siempre pensé en flores, pero naturales sería una inversión adicional, sin mencionar el "hassle" de encontrar unas bonitas y que no cueste un ojo de la cara. Así que buscando ideas me topé con esta idea de hortensias de papel. Es sencillo, eso sí, toma un poco de tiempo pero vale la pena 100%. // For a few months I have wanted to give a little color and personality to you desk at work. I've always thought about flowers, but fresh ones would be an additional investment, not even to mention the hassle of finding pretty ones that don't cost a fortune. So looking for ideas I found with this idea of paper Hydrangeas. It's simple, but, it does take some time but it's worth it 100%.
Materiales/Tools:
Papel de colores / Color Paper
Plantilla de la flor / Flower template
Tijeras / Scissors
Bolas de Foam / Foam Balls
Palillos de dientes / Toothpicks
Taza o envase / Cup or vase
Pega caliente y pistola / Hot glue and gun

Paso 1 - Imprime en el papel de color las plantillas. Yo impimí una de las hojas, 2 de las hortensias en papel azul y 2 más en papel violeta. // Print the templates on the colored paper. I printed 1 sheet of leaves, 2 of the hydrangeas on the blue paper and 2 more on the lilac paper.
Paso 2 - Corta los petalos y hojas. Yo utilicé alrededor de 45 petalos en las bolas más grandes y 25 en las pequeñas. // Cut the petals and leaves. I used around 45 petals on the bigger balls and 25 on the smaller ones.
Paso 3 - Con cuidado con la pega caliente, pega en las bolas los petalos cercas unos de los otros para que queden hacia arriba. Continúa hasta que forres la bola completa. // Carefully with the glue gun, glue on the balls the petals close to each other so that they lift up. Keep going until ou have covered the ball.
Paso 4 - Cuando ya tengas todas la bolas que deseas, incertales un palillo de diente e incrusta la bola de hortensia a otra bola de foam o en un palillo más grande (BBQ), incluyendo las hojas. // When you have all the balls that you want, insert the toothpick and stick the hydrangea ball onto another foam ball or bigger wood stick (BBQ), including the leaves.
¿Que no quedó súper? Es perfecta para el hogar o la oficina. // Isn't awesome? It's perfect for home or the office.
